Position Overview
The IT Manager will lead and manage the company’s information technology function, ensuring reliable, secure, and cost-effective systems and services that support business operations. This role oversees IT support, infrastructure, applications, vendor relationships, and technology planning, and the end-to-end preparation, validation, and secure delivery of mailing data files to support production jobs.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide overall leadership for IT operations, including helpdesk/service requests, endpoint management, and user enablement across the organization
- Establish and track service levels (response/resolution targets), prioritize work, and ensure consistent documentation and communication
- Supervise, coach, and develop direct reports and coordinate with managed service providers as needed; assign work and provide performance feedback
- Partner with department leaders to understand business needs, translate requirements into technology solutions, and manage expectations through delivery
- Develop and manage the IT budget, including forecasting, purchasing, asset lifecycle planning, and cost controls
- Manage vendors and contracts (hardware, software, telecom, cloud, and support), including evaluation, renewals, and escalation management
- Responsible for building security (e.g., security cameras, key door locks, etc.)
- Must be comfortable working with all levels of the company, from production workers to senior management
Infrastructure, Security & Applications
- Own and maintain core infrastructure (networking, servers, cloud services, identity/access, backups) to ensure availability and performance
- Lead cybersecurity practices, including endpoint protection, patching, MFA, vulnerability remediation, security awareness, and incident response coordination
- Oversee endpoint and asset management for desktops, laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals, including imaging/standard builds and lifecycle replacement
- Manage business applications and reporting including upgrades, integrations, and user training.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of Windows endpoint management, networking fundamentals, identity/access management, and cloud/SaaS administration
- Experience with cybersecurity best practices, including patching, MFA, endpoint protection, backups, and incident response processes
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills across hardware, software, and network environments; able to lead escalations to resolution
Education & Experience
- Experience with SQL server databases, software development, and VB.net
- Experience with BCC Mail Manager, C++ and Post Office a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- IT leadership experience, including direct-report management and/or vendor-managed environments, strongly preferred
- Minimum 5 years of progressively responsible IT experience, including at least 2 years leading projects, people, or managed service providers
