Job DescriptionAre you a detailed-oriented professional with a passion for driving quality in manufacturing processes? We are currently looking for an Applications Engineer/CNC Programmer for a well-established, innovative manufacturing company located in Downers Grove.
The company produces parts for automotive, appliance, commercial vehicle, communications, consumer electronics and medical industries.

Qualified candidate will ideally have 4+ years' experience as an Applications Engineer/CNC Programmer in a manufacturing setting.
Compensation Range: $70,000-$80,000/yr.Hours: 7am-4:30pm Monday-FridayLocation: Downers Grove, IL

Job Description:

• Understand and digest standards and specifications.
• Create process drawings in AutoCAD and or SolidWorks.
• Set up CNC machines and qualify all new CNC Programs with a process for the job.
• Provide input for the selection of purchased capital equipment.
• Create tooling layout sheets and set up sheets for the plant.
• Evaluate and assess all planning to support more efficient processes and product flow.
• Properly select tooling and fixtures in their area of expertise.
• Must be able to work independently.
• Ability to train others as needed in processes.
• IATF and Epicor experience.
• Continually review and optimize existing manufacturing processes to increase efficiency and quality.
• Create CNC programs using CAM software for turning and/or milling processes.

Knowledge of machining processing and CNC machinesKnowledge of blueprint reading, GDT, inspection equipment, and tooling
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Experience with Creating CNC programs using CAM software for turning and milling processes

Education – Bachelor’s Degree (BA or BS) in a technical area highly preferred, or equivalent experience.
