Garden County Health Services (GCHS) is a Rural Emergency Hospital offering EMS, nursing home, clinic, and critical access hospital services to the Oshkosh community and surrounding areas. We’re proud of our deep roots in rural healthcare, and we’re looking for a dedicated, forward‑thinking EMS Manager to lead our Emergency Medical Services department.

As the EMS Manager at GCHS, you will play a vital leadership role in ensuring high‑quality pre‑hospital care, supporting your EMS team, and strengthening emergency response services in a rural community that deeply values its healthcare professionals.
????What You’ll Do as the GCHS EMS Manager
In this leadership role, you’ll combine clinical expertise, operational oversight, and strong communication skills to guide the EMS department. You will:
- Oversee daily EMS operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high‑quality emergency response
- Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to EMTs, AEMTs, and Paramedics
- Maintain compliance with state and federal EMS regulations
- Develop and implement department policies, protocols, and training programs
- Coordinate scheduling, staffing, and on‑call rotations
- Collaborate with hospital leadership, nursing staff, and community partners
- Manage EMS equipment, supplies, and vehicle readiness
- Participate in budgeting, strategic planning, and quality improvement initiatives
- Promote a positive, team‑centered culture focused on patient safety and professional growth
⭐ You May Be a Great Fit If You Have:
- Current Nebraska EMT, AEMT, or Paramedic certification (Paramedic preferred)
- 2+ years of EMS experience; leadership experience strongly preferre
- Strong knowledge of EMS protocols, emergency response, and rural healthcare needs
- Current American Heart Association BLS certification (ACLS/PALS preferred)
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem‑solving skills
- Ability to lead with professionalism, fairness, and a commitment to patient‑centered care
