Description

Pinnacle Software Consulting Inc, (DBA PSCI-LIA) is seeking a Senior Data Center Technical Support Analyst in Baton Rouge, LA to support wide variety of existing hardware platforms, operating systems, database management systems, networks, third party software, and custom applications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Network Design and Topology services, including LAN/WAN and Wi-Fi
  • Architect LAN/WAN topologies leveraging Cisco Nexus, Catalyst, and SD-WAN solutions.
  • Design multi-tier server infrastructure using Hyper-V, VMware vSphere, and Citrix to meet performance and HA requirements.
  • Implement storage solutions (NetApp, Dell EMC) and SAN zoning to satisfy capacity and IOPS targets.
  • Servers - Design of Tier 1, Tier 2, Tier 3 business needs and workstation management
  • Backup and Recovery Strategy for servers, network devices, and other business critical applications.
  • Develop and maintain backup and recovery strategies leveraging Veeam, Commvault, and Azure Backup.
  • Coordinate disaster-recovery drills, update runbooks, and ensure RPO/RTO compliance.
  • Perform regular health checks, patching, and firmware upgrades across compute, storage, and network layers.
  • Application rationalization - confirm applications will function in the new server/network environment
  • Strategize network and server migration plans.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Engineering, or related discipline. VMware VCP or Microsoft MCSE certifications preferred.
  • 10+ years in data center operations, engineering, or technical support roles.
  • Strong expertise with virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V, or Citrix XenCenter Virtual Suites) and Microsoft Windows Server Operating Systems (to include Domain Services).
  • Experience with enterprise backup, disaster recovery, and high-availability design.
  • Proficient in automation scripting (PowerShell, Python) and configuration management tools.
  • Knowledge of ITIL processes and change management best practices.

  • User Profile analysis and migration
  • Desktop and Mobile Device imaging and user transition
  • Data analysis, Application Rationalization, and migration
  • Third party software to be migrated and handled on a case-by-case basis

  • Tanium Endpoint Management
  • Disaster Recovery backup solutions
