Job Title: Maintenance Supervisor

Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on, experienced working Maintenance Supervisor to lead daily maintenance operations at our Fort Payne, AL facility. This role combines leadership responsibilities with active, on-the-floor maintenance work. The ideal candidate is a skilled technician who can troubleshoot equipment, coordinate maintenance activities, and ensure safe, efficient plant operations.

Responsibilities

  • Perform mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic repairs on production equipment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment failures and implement effective corrective actions.
  • Conduct routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and equipment diagnostics.
  • Ensure minimal downtime by responding quickly to maintenance requests.
  • Lead, train, and support maintenance technicians in daily tasks.
  • Assign work orders, monitor progress, and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Coordinate with production supervisors to prioritize maintenance needs.
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs, PM schedules, and equipment performance.
  • Assist in planning and executing maintenance shutdowns and major repairs.
  • Recommend improvements to equipment reliability and maintenance processes.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, OSHA regulations, and safety procedures.

Essential Skills

  • Expertise in electrical, mechanical, hydraulics, and pneumatics.
  • Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting and electrical troubleshooting.
  • Strong skills in maintenance management and supervision.
  • Experience in building preventative maintenance programs.
  • Ability to perform high voltage and low voltage repairs.
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications.
  • Demonstrated leadership abilities.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in maintenance repair and supervision.
  • Ability to build and lead a team.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fort Payne, AL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $45.00/hr.
