Type: 6 month Contract The standard workweek is 37.5 hours. Possible 12 months with extension

This is an opportunity to help a higher education organization improve how it uses Workday approximately two years after go-live. The consultant will have meaningful ownership of payroll, absence, time tracking, and benefits issues while helping internal teams move away from manual workarounds and build stronger, more sustainable processes.

Job Description:
\n
The Workday Payroll and Benefits Consultant will provide hands-on production support across Workday Payroll, Absence, Time Tracking, and Benefits. This person will investigate recurring tickets, identify underlying configuration or process issues, document solutions, and help business users better understand how to complete their work within Workday. The consultant will also help address downstream data issues between Recruiting, Staffing, Benefits, and Payroll. Additional areas of support may include period activity pay, SECURE 2.0, and Maryland's state family and medical leave requirements.

Required Skills:

• Hands-on Workday Payroll experience
\n • Workday Absence experience
\n • Workday Time Tracking experience
\n • Workday Benefits experience
\n • Experience supporting Workday in a production environment
\n • Experience investigating and resolving recurring Workday tickets
\n • Ability to review existing configurations and identify underlying system or process issues
\n • Experience documenting configurations, processes, and solutions
\n • Ability to educate users and improve their use of Workday
\n • Understanding of downstream data dependencies between Recruiting, Staffing, Benefits, and Payroll
\n • Experience supporting U.S.-based payroll
\n
