Project Coordinator
Location: South Austin, TX (On-site / Hybrid)
Employment Type: Contract-to-Hire
Pay Range: $65,000–$75,000
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week
A growing, landscaping company is seeking a highly organized and motivated Project Coordinator to join its team in South Austin. This role plays a key part in keeping projects running smoothly by supporting day-to-day field operations, coordinating schedules, and managing materials and logistics.
What You’ll Do
- Support daily field and office operations by coordinating crews, equipment, tools, and materials to keep projects on schedule
- Manage purchasing and logistics for construction and maintenance work, including materials, equipment, and subcontractor coordination
- Work closely with operations and sales teams to align project timelines, maintenance schedules, and resource availability
- Build and maintain relationships with vendors to ensure quality, pricing, and on-time delivery
- Oversee project setup, documentation, and workflow tracking within internal project management systems
- Anticipate upcoming needs and proactively manage time-sensitive logistics ahead of project start dates
- Serve as a communication hub between field crews, project managers, and sales partners
- Document project progress through photos and organized records for internal and marketing use
- Adapt quickly to shifting priorities, schedules, and field conditions in a dynamic environment
- Participate in job costing training and gradually take on cost tracking responsibilities
What We’re Looking For
- 5 years of previous experience coordinating projects, operations, or procurement within construction, landscaping, or a similar hands-on industry
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
- Comfortable working in Excel and Microsoft Office to build schedules, track information, and communicate updates
- Experience using project management or scheduling software, or a demonstrated ability to learn new systems quickly
- Clear, confident communicator who can collaborate effectively with both office-based and field teams
- Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset with strong follow-through
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred, but equivalent practical experience welcomed
