About the Role
We are seeking a highly capable and hands-on Irrigation Technician to lead all irrigation operations across our Arizona farms. This is a field-based, doer position responsible for ensuring our irrigation systemsespecially center pivotsrun smoothly, efficiently, and without interruption. Youll play a critical role in supporting our planting, growing, and harvest cycles through proactive maintenance, repairs, and daily monitoring of water systems.
Youll be the go-to expert on pumps, pivots, and water delivery, working closely with the Farm Manager/Director and the broader farming crew to keep everything running like clockwork.
Key Responsibilities
Pump & Motor Maintenance
- Inspect and service pumps and motors used in agricultural irrigation systems
- Check fluid levels daily and perform bi-annual fluid servicing
- Listen for changes in unit operations and troubleshoot proactively
- Maintain and service injection pumps and related components
- Work with vendors for parts and external repairs as needed
Pivot Operations & Maintenance
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair all models of center pivots (e.g., Zimmatic, Valley, Rinke)
- Replace or repair gearboxes, final drives, drive lines, tower connections, tires, goosenecks, and drops
- Monitor for leaks, clogs, or faulty nozzles and make immediate corrections
- Maintain FieldNET or other monitoring apps (training provided if needed)
- Perform emergency maintenance when needed, including overnight issues during peak season
System Oversight & Water Flow
- Understand and manage water distribution throughout the farm
- Read and report flow meters to track gallons used per month
- Maintain a preventative maintenance (PM) program across all irrigation assets
- Assist farming crews during planting, growing, and harvest seasons to ensure water systems are ready and operational
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in irrigation system management, preferably in a production farming setting
- Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills with pumps, pivots, and motors
- Working knowledge of electrical systems and pipe construction a strong plus
- Familiarity with FieldNET or other remote irrigation monitoring tools (preferred but not required)
- Ability to work independently, while also coordinating with vendors and internal teams
- Physically capable of lifting 75 lbs and climbing ladders or working at height
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Strong attention to detail and ability to document maintenance and repairs

Compensation:
- Salary: $50,000 $70,000
- PTO: 10 days + 9 company holidays
- We will provide a vehicle for farm duties.
