Receiving Inspector

Primary Responsibilities

· Perform receiving inspections of incoming materials, customer-supplied products, and outside processing returns.

· Verify certifications, traceability, material test reports, Certificates of Conformance, and required documentation.

· Inspect parts for damage, quantity, configuration, and compliance with engineering drawings and purchase order requirements.

· Review documentation for compliance with FAA, AS9100, customer, and internal quality requirements.

· Record inspection results within the company's quality management system.

· Identify and document nonconforming materials and coordinate with Purchasing and Quality Engineering for disposition.

· Maintain receiving inspection records in accordance with regulatory and company requirements.

· Assist with supplier quality activities and corrective actions when necessary.

· Support internal, customer, FAA, and third-party audits.

· Maintain a clean, organized, and FOD-free inspection area.

Qualifications

Required

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Previous inspection or quality experience in manufacturing, aerospace, aviation, or a related industry.

· Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.

· Basic understanding of inspection methods and measuring equipment.

· Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

· Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office applications.

· Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Preferred

· Aerospace manufacturing or FAA Part 145 Repair Station experience.

· AS9100 quality system experience.

· Experience reviewing Certificates of Conformance and material certifications.

· Knowledge of FAA regulations and aerospace documentation requirements.

· Experience using ERP or electronic Quality Management Systems (QT9 experience is a plus).
