Primary Objective of Position:
Factory customer contact for Aftermarket related quoting activities includes capturing and using all relevant customer data and previous inquiries to provide a custom solution for long-term success. Answer customer inquiries and provide detailed information to guide customers to the best after market solution that aligns with their current and future test strategy.
Major Areas of Accountability:
- Accurately identifies and understands customer test application problems/needs and converts into a detailed proposal/quotation; offering the best-fit technical solution to meet identified needs
- Owns all customers interactions following initial inquiry to obtain necessary information and materials for the quoting process
- Develops detailed costing, and quotations for any aftermarket service provided by CCI to include: parts, fixture/system refurbishment, fixture/system preventative/corrective maintenance, service plans
- Participates in pricing strategy discussions with Aftermarket General Manager, Product Manager, and engineering to support proposed pricing and ensure project margin goals are obtained
- Enters quote information into CRM system and updates customer Cases to reflect status of quote
- Reviews, with AM Project Manager previous solution provide to customer to ensure quoted solution will continue to meet current and future demands as well as previous customer supplied Statements of Work (SOW)
- Demonstrates to potential customers how and why products and services will suit customer needs (explanation of the quote)
- Initiates customer order in ERP system
- May assist Project Managers as needed with internal technical coordination and information sharing around provided quote
- Maintains a positive business relationship with interna; and external customers.

Education and Experience:
- Associates degree in engineering related field is required
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering preferred
- 2+ years of related work experience in engineering, technician, applications, or sales capacity preferred
- Experience applying computer automated design is preferred.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, listen, and present, and influence effectively at all levels of an organization
- Must be able to work in a changing, fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities simultaneously
- Technical competence, including the ability to review drawings and other engineering documents and translate to a technical proposal
- Solid analytical skills; able to consider and offer various possible solutions to customers' needs
- Strong communication skills; able to articulate the benefits and preferences of each product
- Maintains confidentiality and security of intellectual property (CUI-ITAR, Prototype).

- Majority of time is spent in usual office working conditions
- Ability to sit for extended lengths of time is required; bend, reach, crouch, and twist as required
- Majority of time is spent using a computer for completing work
- Limited exposure to a manufacturing area which may entail exposure to dirt, dust, and other attributes common to this environment
- Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs.
- Minimal travel may be required (less than 5%).

This job description reflects management’s assignment of key responsibilities; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.
The salary range is $71,000 - $105,000 per year. The hiring manager will determine the final starting salary based on the successful applicant’s qualifications. Compensation includes base salary and discretionary performance-based quarterly profit sharing.
