Qualifications:
- Proficiency in CAD, Navisworks, and other drafting tools
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and design standards
- Detail-oriented individual with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Self-motivated and driven self-starter with high integrity
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and commitment to getting the job completed with accuracy
- 6–10 years of relevant experience required
Responsibilities:
- Work with senior draftsmen, estimating team and project management team to understand the scope of work and installation intent to accurately design and produce shop drawings and as-built drawings
- Field Surveying Job Site to confirm dimensions
- Ensure compliance with benchmarks, ceiling heights and tolerances
- Flag conflicts on shop drawings that require architect/engineer review
- Ability to layout equipment and orientation of mechanical equipment as required
- Conduct thorough reviews of mechanical plans and drawings for accuracy, compliance, and feasibility
- Produce accurate shop drawings based on industry standard and norms
- Review and modify designs if mechanical plans presented are not achievable
