Main Objective: Assist the technician or technician lead and complete tasks as assigned. Work collaboratively as a team member with the other staff members to communicate needs and problems, in order to achieve the project’s goals.

Basic Skills Requirements:

• Verbal communication from a technician or lead technician
• Comfortable working at heights from lifts/ladders
• Comfortable using email & Google apps

Job Skills Needed

1. Cable Skills

   • Cable Pulling & Pathways (fish tape, push rods, sealing firewalls, back-pulling, labeling pulls)

   • Cable Termination (RJ45 T568B, Keystones, BNC, F connectors)

   • Cable Testing (Ethernet tester, continuity, voltage/ohms verification)

   • Cable Maintenance & Labeling (velcro, zip ties, dust cleaning, structured cabling)

   • Cable Dressing & Wire Management

2. Hardware & Mounting

   • Device Mounting (TVs, projectors, speakers, Wi-Fi APs)

   • Rack Assembly (rack build, patch panels, structured cabling)

   • Wall Plates & Keystones (cutting drywall, installing rings/plates, terminating keystones)

   • Assisting with overhead rigging

3. Networking

   • Basic Networking (Layer 1–2, patching, VLAN basics)

   • Troubleshooting Networks (ping, cable tracing, diagnosing failures)

4. A/V Systems

   • Audio Installation (speakers, amps, DSPs)

   • Video Installation (HDMI/SDI runs, displays/projectors)

   • Video Equipment Configuration (switchers, scalers, extenders)

5. Safety & Tools

   • OSHA, Lift, Rigging Certifications

   • PPE Compliance & Jobsite Safety

   • Tool Competency (hand tools, power tools, testers)

Our Data/Network side of our company installs data racks inside of most popularly Buffalo Wild Wings locations and Pizza Cottage locations in Ohio and surrounding states. We offer service contracts for data installs as well, offering remote and on-site troubleshooting following our installs. We are currently looking to expand into several teams in the next few years.
