What You Can Expect to Do
Project Coordination
- Assist in planning, scheduling, and tracking progress of architectural projects.
- Maintain project documentation, including contracts, drawings, RFIs, submittals, and change orders.
- Ensure deliverables meet quality standards, timelines, and budget requirements.
Communication & Collaboration
- Serve as the primary liaison between architects, consultants, contractors, and clients.
- Schedule and coordinate project meetings, prepare agendas, and draft meeting minutes.
- Facilitate smooth information flow across design and construction teams.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain project logs and prepare regular status reports for project managers and senior leadership.
- Monitor project risks and issues, escalating when necessary.
- Support compliance with codes, permits, and regulatory requirements.
Financial & Administrative Support
- Track budgets, invoices, and expenditures for assigned projects.
- Assist in preparing project proposals, scopes of work, and cost estimates.
What you should have
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, or other AEC field-related focus.
- Experience: 4–6 years of proven experience coordinating architectural or design/construction projects.
- Proficiency in project management software (MS Project, Primavera, or similar).
- Working knowledge of architectural drawings, specifications, and construction documents.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, or other architectural design software is a plus.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience working in architectural firms or design-build environments.
- Understanding of building codes, zoning regulations, and permitting processes.
- PMP, CAPM, or equivalent certification is advantageous but not required.
