At Genesis Products, you’re the person who keeps our manufacturing lines humming. Reporting to the Plant Manager and partnering closely with operations, you’ll own the health of critical machinery—solving problems fast, preventing the next breakdown, and documenting every step so the team can move with confidence.
What a day could look like
- Walk the floor, listen to the equipment, and zero in on issues using meters, gauges, and other test instruments.
- Complete routine maintenance, corrective repairs, and precise adjustments across plant equipment and facilities.
- Install, repair, and sustain mechanical and electrical systems to spec.
- Measure wear and verify part tolerances with precision tools (calipers, micrometers, and more).
- Align and adjust equipment using hand tools and standard measurement devices for smooth, accurate operation.
- Follow a preventative maintenance schedule and record work clearly and completely.
- Respond quickly to maintenance requests to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
- Keep your work area—and the plant—safe, orderly, and clean.
What you bring
- 5–7+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Ability to read blueprints and execute hands-on mechanical troubleshooting.
- Experienced across mechanical, pneumatic, control, and electrical systems.
- Background with wood-processing equipment is a plus (CNC routers, Edge banders, HPL and paper lamination).
- Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting know-how.
- Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
- Clear communicator and strong team collaborator.
- Skilled at juggling priorities, managing work orders, and resolving issues as assigned.
- Physically able to work in a production environment and meet attendance expectations.
- Reliable transportation.
