Our organization is in search of a Cardiac Electrophysiologist to become a part of our esteemed Heart & Vascular Institute located in Akron, Ohio. This role presents a remarkable chance to engage with a collaborative electrophysiology program that boasts a robust referral network and advanced procedural capabilities. The selected physician will join a skilled team of four electrophysiology specialists and three advanced practice providers, all committed to delivering innovative, patient-focused cardiovascular care while contributing to the evolution of electrophysiology within an integrated healthcare system.
Our practice encompasses a high volume of complex ablations, CRM device placements, laser lead extractions, LAA occlusion devices, and an EP consult service that collaborates with general cardiology fellows, alongside a busy outpatient practice. The Heart and Vascular Institute prides itself on a highly cooperative approach and stands as the largest multidisciplinary cardiovascular medicine team in the tri-county area, comprising nearly 50 cardiologists, electrophysiologists, cardiothoracic surgeons, and vascular specialists.

Opportunity Highlights

Approximately 3.5 days per week in the Electrophysiology lab and 1.5 days in the outpatient clinic.

Inpatient EP consult service approximately once every five weeks.

Shared weekend and holiday on-call duties with strong physician support.

Cardiology fellows will assist with consults and inpatient coverage.

Candidate Qualifications

Board Certified or Board Eligible in Cardiology and Electrophysiology.

Completion of a Cardiac Electrophysiology fellowship program.

Possession of an unrestricted Ohio medical license or willingness to obtain one.

Experience with lead extractions is preferred.
