Job DescriptionCDR General Services is seeking experienced Welder/Fitters to join our client's team in Paducah, KY. We are looking for skilled and dependable individuals with experience in welding, fitting, fabrication, and/or barge repair. This position is responsible for repairing and fabricating barges and steel materials in a fabrication shop and/or dry dock environment.

• Schedule: Monday–Friday
• Payment: $31 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Perform welding, fitting, fabrication, and repair work on barges and steel materials.
• Operate welding torches and other cutting tools safely and efficiently.
• Fit, align, and install large steel panels and complex structural components.
• Perform watertight welds while maintaining quality and accuracy.
• Troubleshoot and properly align steel components according to industry standards.
• Use power tools, hand tools, torches, and other equipment as required.
• Perform physically demanding and repetitive tasks in fabrication shop, dry dock, and outdoor environments.
• Follow all company, state, and federal safety regulations.
• Properly use required personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED Required.
• Previous shipyard welding, fitting, marine fabrication, or barge repair experience Required.
• Experience using power and hand tools.
• Ability to perform welding and fitting tasks with accuracy and efficiency.
• Ability to work in physically demanding environments and various weather conditions.
• Strong attention to safety and quality.
• Dependable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
