If solving tough problems on complex electro-mechanical systems sounds like your kind of day, you’ll thrive on our FHE Outage & Maintenance Services team. Operate remotely from anywhere in the U.S., travel often, and keep critical nuclear fuel handling equipment and outage cranes performing flawlessly.
Reports to: FHE Outage and Maintenance Supervisor | Travel: ~60–70% (air and/or auto)

What will you handle?
- Install, set up, maintain, inspect, calibrate, and troubleshoot fuel handling systems and outage-critical cranes at operating nuclear sites and service centers.
- Interpret and verify procedures and drawings; prepare and execute work to exacting safety and quality standards.
- Assist engineering and training with equipment modifications, setups, testing, mock-up builds, process trials, and qualifications.
- Document field performance issues with precision; confirm corrective actions are complete before the next use.
- Participate in training to maintain certifications and stay current with latest technologies and procedures.
- Work under general supervision, maintain meticulous records, and uphold a strong attention to detail.
- Promote a Safety-First culture; maintain orderly work areas; preserve Unescorted Access credentials.
- Partner effectively with peers, leaders, contractors, and customers; deliver standout customer service and inventive problem-solving.
- Communicate progress, changes, and issues to the service supervisor daily or as needed; travel extensively and work safely around hazardous materials.
Do you have the background?
- HS diploma/equivalent plus a 2-year degree/certificate (or equivalent experience) with training in electrical, electronics, PLCs, or mechanical systems.
- 2–5 years of relevant experience showing mechanical, electrical, and PLC acumen; nuclear industry experience is a bonus.
- Capability to occasionally lift up to 50 lbs and perform essential physical movements (reach, climb, kneel, squat, grasp, bend forward/backward) and sit/stand a minimum of 4 hours/day.
- Ability to pass a Westinghouse physical, including spirometry for respirator use.
Compliance: This position is subject to the requirements of Westinghouse and customer security, unescorted access, and fitness for duty programs.

Pay transparency
Base salary: $48,371.68 – $98,759.22 annually, depending on experience, qualifications, and skills.
