Our client, a regional civil litigation law firm with a long-standing reputation for excellence, is seeking a skilled and reliable Litigation Legal Assistant to join its collaborative, high-performing team. Qualifications & Skills
- 2+ years of recent experience as a Litigation Legal Assistant in a law firm
- Prior experience in medical malpractice or insurance defense is highly preferred
- Familiarity with legal terminology, Massachusetts Rules of Civil Procedure, and court procedures
- Must have experience with Rule 9A and E-Filing in both state and federal courts
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)
- Strong communication, time management, and proofreading skills
- Experience with iManage or similar document management systems is a plus
- Ability to multitask and manage shifting priorities with discretion and professionalism
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-level administrative support to up to four litigation attorneys
- Draft, revise, and finalize legal correspondence, pleadings, and court filings
- Perform state and federal E-Filing, including Rule 9A compliance
- Schedule depositions and manage busy legal calendars
- Maintain and update case dockets and court deadlines
- Open new matters, run conflict checks, and assist with client communications
- Support reception duties and general office administration as needed
- Transcribe dictation and maintain accurate case records
