The Quality Assurance Specialist is required to perform front line and in-process quality control and inspection functions with responsibility for ensuring compliance with Customer Standards in conjunction with International Organization for Standardization (ISO), Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) and Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP). Ensure manufacturing practices are effective and consistently carried out through best practices. Proficient with inspection tools, blueprint reading, clear understanding of basic geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) and the ability to perform assessments and follow tasks through completion with minimal supervision.
In addition, you will ensure that quality assurance measures and procedures are understood and followed, perform daily quality inspections on the production floor, ensure that quality policies and procedures are implemented and in compliance with regulatory, company and customer requirements and solve quality issues and implement appropriate solutions, including review of RMAs, and use of corrective and preventative actions, among other common ISO quality procedures. In addition, you will verify quality of inbound materials from vendors, WIP & outbound products to be shipped to customers, ensure all quality check point and procedures are followed during every production phase and amend process to improve quality and product reliability. You will educate and inform production team on quality control issues and work with department managers to improve overall company product quality, perform and document first article inspections throughout process as needed and provide final quality inspection and approval of finished product prior to packing/shipping.

Qualified candidates must have an Associate’s Degree (or equivalent) in a related field, along with a proven history of understanding industry quality expectations, ISO, documentation procedures and leading audits. Excellent communication skills are a must, bilingual in Spanish, a plus.
