Role Description The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) at Rose Arbor Village provides direct, hands-on care to residents, supporting daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and ambulation. The CNA assists with meals, hydration, and monitoring residents’ comfort and safety, promptly reporting changes in condition to nursing staff. Responsibilities include taking vital signs, documenting care according to facility procedures, maintaining clean and safe resident areas, and following infection prevention protocols. The role involves working closely with nurses, other care team members, residents, and families to support individualized care plans and promote a positive living environment. This is a full-time, on-site role located in Sacramento, CA, and may require working various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

- Active Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of California and completion of an approved CNA training program.
- Demonstrated skills in providing personal care (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, mobility assistance) and supporting activities of daily living in a residential or clinical setting.
- Ability to measure and record vital signs, observe and report changes in resident condition, and accurately document care in accordance with facility policies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to interact professionally and respectfully with residents, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
- Commitment to patient safety, infection control, and compliance with regulatory and facility standards, including proper use of equipment and adherence to care plans.
- Capacity to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple tasks, and maintain composure and empathy in challenging situations.
- Physical ability to perform the essential functions of the role, including lifting, positioning, and transferring residents with appropriate equipment and techniques.
- Previous experience in long-term care, assisted living, or a similar setting is preferred but not required.
- Reliable attendance, willingness to work assigned shifts, and readiness to participate in ongoing training and professional development.
