Responsible for safely operating commercial trucks to transport construction materials, equipment, and supplies to and from job sites. Duties include:
- Operate dump trucks, end dumps, transfer trucks, flatbeds, and/or other commercial construction vehicles.
- Transport materials such as dirt, gravel, sand, asphalt, concrete, and construction debris.
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure equipment is safe and operational.
- Load, secure, transport, and unload materials according to company and DOT safety requirements.
- Maintain accurate driver logs, delivery tickets, load documentation, and inspection records.
- Follow assigned routes and coordinate deliveries with dispatchers, supervisors, and job-site personnel.
- Safely maneuver trucks in active construction zones, including tight or uneven work areas.
- Follow all DOT regulations, traffic laws, company policies, and job-site safety procedures.
- Monitor vehicle condition and promptly report mechanical problems, damage, or safety concerns.
- Maintain cleanliness and general upkeep of assigned trucks and equipment.
- Communicate effectively with equipment operators and ground personnel during loading and unloading.
- Follow proper procedures for hauling materials while preventing spills, shifting loads, or roadway hazards.
- Maintain professional and dependable attendance while completing assigned loads and deliveries efficiently.
