Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Current and valid Occupational Therapist license in California
- Previous experience in a school-based OT role (elementary to middle school experience preferred)
- Strong understanding of pediatric OT assessments, IEP development, and goal implementation
- Excellent communication skills for engaging with students, staff, and families
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
Core Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized therapy plans for PreK-8th grade students
- Deliver direct and consultative occupational therapy services in accordance with student IEPs
- Track student progress, maintain thorough documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to facilitate strategies in and out of the classroom
- Create supportive, innovative, and engaging therapeutic activities tailored to individual student needs
