Job Description
Job Summary:
\n
Operates radiology equipment and performs routine diagnostic procedures as prescribed by physicians according to established standards and practices to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease. Routinely works in CT and X-Ray specialties.
\n
Job Responsibilities:
\n
• Performs radiologic procedures using appropriate technical and safety method as requested by a licensed physician.
\n • Exercise judgement in selecting and computing settings for each patient.
\n • Develop an appropriate procedure/treatment plan.
\n • Implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established hospital protocols/guidelines.
\n • Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
\n • Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
\n • Participates in hospital and departmental performance improvement activities to ensure that patient care is consistent with established standards. Collects quality data for monitoring performance improvement.
\n • Completes assigned goals.
\n • Provides basic bedside care and support in the Emergency Department and Inpatient Unit under the supervision of the RN or physician, anticipating and responding to patient needs.
\n • Assists with patient stabilization and life support measures in collaboration with the care team, following appropriate admission, discharge, and transfer procedures.
\n • Monitors for changes in patient condition, report concerns, and initiates appropriate actions within scope
\n • Collects laboratory samples and performs lab testing in accordance with CLIA regulations and established policies and procedures.
\n • Demonstrates ability to perform laboratory quality controls and assessments and routine daily, weekly, monthly, and periodic maintenance and function according to laboratory policy and procedure.
\n • Prepares patient meals in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
\n • Supports patient registration functions as needed.
\n
• Supports a best-in-class patient experience by utilizing downtime as productively as possible.
\n • Performs other duties as assigned.

Specifications:
\n
Experience as obtained through the completion of a Radiology Technology Program.
\n
Education:
\n
Completion of a formal education program in radiography accredited by a mechanism acceptable to ARRT.
\n
Special Skills:
\n
Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Radiologic principals/theory. Utilizes the most appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures/treatments as demonstrated by procedure/treatment results. Demonstrates ability to receive and follow written and oral instructions; ability to plan and organize work.
\n
Licensure:
\n
ARRT(R); BLS Certification within 14 days of hire. New graduate who will obtain required registry within 120 days of hire. State license as required.
