Position Overview
We’re seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to help preserve and enhance our community’s infrastructure and amenities. This role is hands-on, varied, and vital to the smooth operation of our park. You’ll work closely with our Management Company and HOA Board to ensure all systems, from sewer and gas to electrical and recreational facilities, are safe, compliant, and in excellent condition.
Key Responsibilities
- Utility Oversight: Inspect and maintain sewer pumps, natural gas systems, and electrical infrastructure per regulatory standards.
- Home Installations: Coordinate manufactured home moves and ensure any damage to common areas is documented and repaired.
- Emergency Response: Be available 24/7 for urgent issues affecting park facilities; coordinate contractor support when needed.
- Property Evaluations: Assess the condition of Park assets and recommend improvements to the Board.
- Outside Services: In conjunction with the Management Company, prepare statements of work, solicit and evaluate bids for projects requiring outside skills and present the information to the Board for their review and approval.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to OSHA and environmental regulations in all tasks.
- Routine Scheduling: Develop and follow monthly, quarterly, and annual maintenance plans; collaborate with the Maintenance Committee.
Supervision & Reporting
You’ll report directly to the Community Manager and receive guidance from the Management Company, working within the framework set by the HOA Board of Directors.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in property maintenance, utilities, or facilities management
- Familiarity with construction methods and materials
- Strong knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards
- Ability to respond calmly and effectively to emergencies
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Comfortable working independently and collaboratively
- Willingness to be on call 24/7 for emergencies
- CPO Certification desirable
Language Skills:
The individual must have strong communication skills to communicate effectively with employees and residents. Bilingual in English and Spanish highly desirable.
