Tower Trust & Investment Company seeks an experienced and client-focused Vice President, Trust Officer to join our growing team. In this role, you'll serve as a key point of contact for clients and their advisors, managing personal trust and estate accounts with care, competence, and integrity.

What You Will Do

  • Administer and manage a variety of personal trust, estate, IRA, and investment management accounts.
  • Establish and nurture long-term client relationships through thoughtful communication, proactive service, and personalized financial and estate planning guidance.
  • Interpret legal documents and apply fiduciary knowledge to ensure compliance with trust laws, tax regulations, and company policy.
  • Serve as a resource to clients and professional partners (attorneys, accountants, investment advisors) on estate planning, fiduciary law, and tax strategy.
  • Actively participate on internal governance committees, including the Trust Investment & Account Review Committee (non-voting Trust Committee member).
  • Oversee and grow the Will File program, including outreach to existing and prospective clients and centers of influence.
  • Develop business by identifying opportunities within your book, cultivating internal referrals, and engaging with the professional community.
  • Continuously improve administrative processes, fee collection practices, and client experience.
  • Provide backup support for trust approvals in the absence of department leadership.

What You Will Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in trust and estate administration OR investment advisory experience with a strong desire to expand into trust services.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; advanced certifications strongly preferred (CTFA, CFP, JD, or CPA).
  • Knowledge of fiduciary standards, estate planning principles, and trust taxation.
  • A proactive, independent work ethic with exceptional attention to detail and organizational skill.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skillsyou can simplify complex topics and build trust with clients and colleagues alike.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and familiarity with trust accounting or CRM platforms is a plus.
