Compensation: $36 – $40 per hour + Overtime

Our confidential client is a global manufacturer of advanced industrial machinery used by leading automotive and industrial manufacturers. They design and build highly specialized equipment that requires expert commissioning, testing, and integration before being delivered to customers.
They are seeking a Commissioning Engineer who enjoys working hands-on with complex machinery and takes pride in seeing systems come together from assembly through final customer acceptance.
This role plays a critical part in ensuring equipment performs exactly as designed before it leaves the facility or is installed at the customer site.
What You’ll Be Doing

Commission and test industrial machinery and automation systems prior to customer delivery

Work closely with mechanical, electrical, and controls teams during machine build and startup

Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and process issues during machine tryout

Verify system functionality and performance against engineering specifications

Assist with machine runoffs, testing, and customer acceptance

Support machine installation and startup at customer facilities when required

Document testing results, adjustments, and commissioning procedures

Provide feedback to engineering teams to improve system performance and reliability
What We’re Looking For

Experience working with industrial machinery, automation systems, or capital equipment

Strong troubleshooting ability across mechanical, electrical, or controls systems

Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and technical documentation

Comfortable working hands-on with complex equipment

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams

Willingness to travel occasionally to customer sites for installations or support
Preferred Experience

Background in machine building, automation, or industrial equipment commissioning

Experience with PLC-based machinery or automated systems

Mechanical, electrical, or controls engineering experience
