Job Description

As a Security Officer - Mobile Sector Patrol in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at an education location, you will conduct routine foot patrols of campus areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to discourage security-related incidents, and assist staff, students, and visitors with clear communication and courteous service. You will document observations, respond to concerns, and support daily operations with professionalism. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, parents, and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a school location.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of hallways, entrances, parking areas, athletic fields, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and identify hazards, unlocked doors, and suspicious behavior.
• Monitor access points during arrivals, dismissals, and events by verifying authorization, directing visitors to sign-in areas, and communicating entry requirements to support orderly campus operations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalating conflicts, requesting assistance when needed, and completing incident documentation.
• Use radios, phones, and/or reporting systems to communicate observations, coordinate with school administrators and local responders as directed, and maintain accurate shift logs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
