Job DescriptionPosition Overview

We are seeking a Bilingual Medical/Radiology Scheduler (ONSITE) to join a patient-focused diagnostic imaging team in Houston. This position is ideal for someone who is professional, personable, organized, and comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.

The Medical Scheduler will coordinate patient appointments, manage referrals and documentation, communicate with patients and provider offices, and ensure accurate patient information throughout the scheduling process.

Bilingual English/Spanish is REQUIRED and pass a 1 minute typing test (37-40+ WPM)

MUST have 8am-6pm shift availibility Mon-Fri and sometimes a 10a-7p shift

Position: Bilingual Medical Scheduler
Location: Houston, TX 77043
Schedule: Monday-Friday; typically 8:00 AM-5:00 PM or 9:00 AM-6:00 PM. Occasional 10:00 AM-7:00 PM shifts. Saturday rotations are rare and provided with advance notice.
Pay: $18/hr-$20/hr + full-time benefits (Based On Experience)
Employment Type: 6-month contract-to-hire with opportunity for direct hire
Start Date: ASAP following completion of compliance requirements
Requirements: Background check and drug screen



Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments
  • Process referrals and create patient charts in the EMR
  • Follow up to obtain required medical documentation
  • Communicate with patients, physician offices, attorneys, and internal departments
  • Provide patients with appointment details, preparation instructions, and other necessary information
  • Coordinate transportation for procedure patients when needed
  • Follow up with patients regarding cancellations and no-shows
  • Answer incoming calls and assist with patient inquiries
  • Update patient demographics and information in the EMR
  • Review charts for completeness and accuracy
  • Communicate appointment status updates to physician offices and attorneys
  • Work collaboratively with other departments to support patient care



Qualifications

  • Bilingual English/Spanish required
  • Medical scheduling or healthcare experience preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Professional phone etiquette and customer service skills
  • Comfortable working with EMR systems
  • Experience with EXA and Gmail is a plus



Typing Requirement

Candidates must demonstrate a typing speed of 35+ WPM with low errors. 40+ WPM is preferred.

We recommend practicing on another typing website before completing the assessment, as attempts on the testing site are monitored.
