Job DescriptionAre you a motivated retail professional ready to step into a leadership role that makes a real difference?If so, we are looking for an Assistant Store Manager to support our store operations. This role requires open availability and combines leadership, operations management, and customer engagement to support the Store Manager in ensuring the store consistently achieves key performance metrics and delivers excellent customer service to directly support job training and employment programs in our community.

What You Will Do
- Follow safety policies and procedures ensuring maximum security and protection of all customers and company assets
- Oversee all day-to-day operations of the store, assuming full responsibility in the absence of the Store Manager
- Achieve and exceed all external safety compliance regulations with zero OSHA recordable incidents
- Drive sales, revenue, and production performance, meeting or exceeding 100% of weekly transaction value, revenue, and Softline/Hardline production goals
- Complete medical and non-medical incident reports within 24 hours and maintain satisfactory store audit scores of 90% or higher
- Maintain a 32% or less wage-to-revenue ratio and support staffing levels at no less than 90% of established goals
- Proactively interview candidates and assist in maintaining appropriate staffing levels; keep the Store Manager informed of progress, challenges, and new developments
- Assist with all POS functions and transactions including sales, refunds, audits, voids, pricing, and inventory control; manage register cash funds, deposits, change funds, petty cash, and accounting for overages and shortages
- Maintain daily reports and records including sales, donations, money, and production; ensure accuracy and accountability in all reporting
- Deliver an outstanding customer experience, building positive relationships with customers, team members, and community partners
- Use technology and scheduling tools to streamline operations and communication; effectively enforce and communicate company policies and procedures to supervised personnel
- Assist with training of new team members in their functional areas including production and cashiering
- Protect company assets through inventory control, loss prevention, and security best practices
- Support special projects, store events, and community initiatives as needed; attend required meetings and training
What We are Looking For
- Associate’s degree in business, retail management, operations, logistics, sales, or a related field or 1–3 years of relevant retail or operations experience with supervisory responsibility
- Demonstrated success supervising teams and supporting retail sales and/or store operations
- Experience executing operational strategies, meeting performance goals, and driving results
- Demonstrated extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to support operations and deliver top quality service to internal and external customers
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to effectively communicate and interact with all levels of staff and management
- Ability to work in a diverse, rapidly changing environment
- Must possess strong logistical, problem solving and interpersonal skills; ability to be a self-starter with initiative and minimal supervision
- Open availability required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as the business dictates
- Must have a valid driver’s license

Work EnvironmentThis role requires standing for extended periods, lifting up to 30 lbs., and working on the sales floor. Open and flexible scheduling, including evenings, weekends, and peak retail seasons, is required.This position regularly works in a retail and production setting and may be frequently exposed to moving or mechanical equipment and donated goods processing areas.
