Salary Range: $79,000 - $119,000 depending on experience

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and implementation of robust manufacturing processes for new products.
  • Collaborate with R&D and design teams to ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
  • Manage prototype builds, pilot runs, and first article inspections to validate processes and designs.
  • Create and maintain detailed manufacturing instructions, process flows, and Bills of Material (BOMs).
  • Specify, procure, and qualify new equipment, tooling, and fixtures required for production.
  • Drive continuous improvement activities to optimize yield, quality, and cycle time during NPI phases.
  • Facilitate the smooth transition of new products from development into mass production.

Recommended Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or Electrical Engineering.
  • 3-5+ years of experience in New Product Introduction (NPI) or Manufacturing Engineering roles.
  • Proficiency in Design for Manufacturability (DFM), Design for Assembly (DFA), and Design for Testability (DFT) principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and optimize manufacturing processes, tooling, and fixtures for new products.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on manufacturing issue resolution.
  • Experience with CAD software and Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems.

Bonus Qualifications

  • Experience with advanced statistical analysis software (e.g., Minitab, JMP) for process control and yield optimization.
  • Formal certification in project management (e.g., PMP) or Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Hands-on experience with automation, robotics, or advanced vision systems integration.
  • Proficiency in PLM system administration or customization.
  • Knowledge of Design for Testability (DFT) or Design for Serviceability (DFS) principles.
