Role Description The Medical Receptionist is a full-time, on-site role based in Grove City, OH. This position is responsible for greeting patients, managing check-in and check-out processes, and maintaining a welcoming, efficient front desk environment. Daily tasks include answering and routing phone calls, scheduling and confirming appointments, verifying patient information, and collecting necessary documentation. The Medical Receptionist coordinates with clinical staff to support patient flow, handles basic inquiries regarding services and office procedures, and ensures accurate entry of information into medical office systems. The role also includes processing payments, managing waiting room organization, and adhering to confidentiality and compliance standards.\n

  • Ability to perform core receptionist duties, including greeting patients, managing check-in/check-out, and maintaining a professional front desk presence.

  • Strong appointment scheduling skills with experience using practice management or scheduling software and coordinating provider availability.

  • Excellent phone etiquette, including clear communication, courteous call handling, and appropriate routing of inquiries.

  • Working knowledge of medical terminology and familiarity with medical office procedures, documentation, and patient confidentiality requirements.

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping.

  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills to interact with patients, families, and clinical staff in a respectful, patient-centered manner.

  • Basic proficiency with computers and office software (e.g., EMR systems, email, scheduling platforms).

  • Prior experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred; high school diploma or equivalent required, post-secondary training in healthcare administration is a plus.
