The Engineering Change Manager is responsible for the management, execution, and evolution of the engineering Product Data Management (PDM) process, ensuring accuracy and traceability in product data. Additionally, this role ensures alignment of global processes and fosters a culture of continuous improvement to optimize efficiency and effectiveness across product data activities.


Key Areas of Responsibilities

  • Leads the engineering PDM process to ensure timely and accurate product releases, product changes, stop ships, and deviations.
  • Maintains accuracy and traceability in product data; BOMs, routers, item master records, item branch records, data warehouse codes, compliance, costing, and pricing.
  • Provides leadership, support, and mentoring to product data coordinators.
  • Acts as a liaison between engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and IT to ensure timely and accurate execution.
  • Assists in price entry and collaborates with finance, marketing, sales, and IT to troubleshoot the pricing system when required.
  • Develops and implements standardized procedures for product creation, product changes, documentation handling, and product costing.
  • Establishes and drives process improvement initiatives to improve efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness in product data management using lean principles.
  • Leads training for employees who write and / or approve ECs.
  • Ensures consistency in product data management practices across global locations.
  • Works closely with teams to address regional variations while maintaining alignment with corporate standards.

  • Global Process Integration: Successful implementation of standardized procedures across locations.
  • Process Improvement: Reduction in processing errors and improvements in operational efficiency.


What you will need to succeed:

Education & Qualifications:


  • Education: Bachelor’s degree required. Substantial manufacturing experience is a plus.
  • Experience: 5+ years of experience in product data management, engineering documentation, and manufacturing processes required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in BOM structuring, costing models, Excel, PowerPoint, Word. Experience with JD Edwards MRP software is preferred.
  • Management Skills: Experience in personnel leadership, training, and staff coordination.
  • Project Management: Strong organizational skills, ability to manage multiple projects, and familiarity with data management software tools.
  • Global Coordination: Experience working in multinational settings with process standardization across locations.
  • Continuous Improvement: Knowledge of lean methodologies, process improvement frameworks, and data-driven decision-making.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal abilities to foster collaboration across departments.

Compensation: Salaried

Travel: Less than 10%
