Location: New Jersey (Hybrid) — hiring for Morristown, Mount Laurel, and Red Bank. Youll be aligned to one of these offices, with a hybrid schedule.

Note: Must have 2+ years of paralegal experience supporting collections/foreclosure, creditor rights, or similar high-volume litigation work, including strong drafting and deadline management.

Job Description

  • Prepare initial demand letters, notices of intent to foreclose, and liens
  • Communicate with delinquent owners via phone, email, and written correspondence as needed
  • Process payments and prepare balance due letters, payoff letters, estoppels, and related communications
  • Prepare and generate legal documents, including complaint packages, foreclosure motions, stipulations for settlement
  • Draft Motion for Summary Judgment materials, including Certification of Amount Due and Certification of Services Rendered
  • Calendar motion return dates and coordinate hearing logistics with attorneys
  • Prepare Final Judgment applications and post-judgment enforcement filings, including writs of execution and wage garnishments
  • Prepare attorney hearing folders and support hearing readiness
  • Communicate with clients regarding status of actions and prepare monthly status reports
  • Support bank-side actions: pull Mortgage/Satisfaction Searches, prepare Answers/Affirmative Defenses, and monitor lender action status
  • Maintain clean, accurate file status tracking in case management systems and Microsoft Office tools

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of paralegal experience (collections/foreclosure or creditor rights strongly preferred)
  • Comfortable drafting litigation-adjacent documents and client-facing correspondence
  • Strong organizational skills, deadline control, and ability to juggle multiple active matters
  • Proficient with case management software and Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook
  • Strong written/verbal communication, professionalism, and a team-first mindset
  • Paralegal certificate, associates, or bachelors degree preferred
