Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group according to established standards, the nursing process, and professional judgment.
- Supervise and direct the activities of nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines and teams.
- Collect relevant data, analyze health information, develop and implement a care plan, and evaluate progress toward outcomes.
- Provide education and health information to patients and families; communicate clearly with the treatment team.
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care and promote a safe, healing environment; delegate appropriately and supervise the nursing staff as needed.
Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of practice (California) required.
- BSN: Preferred. Acute care facility experience: Preferred.
- Certifications: Current CPR/BLS (from an approved vendor); ACLS; PALS; NIH Stroke Scale certification/competency required.
- Experience: At least two years of recent RN experience in the field; ER or acute care experience preferred.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred; ongoing clinical competence and continued learning.
