Your Impact:

Pearce/Unified is seeking an Electrical Estimator/Project Manager for our Rosedale, MD, office. The Electrical Estimator/Project Manager will play a dual role, combining estimating expertise with project execution leadership. You'll be responsible for developing accurate, competitive estimates and overseeing awarded projects through completion. This position requires a deep technical understanding of uninterruptible power supply (UPS) electrical systems. The candidate will have strong interaction with external customers and internal stakeholders, including Sales, Business Operations, Field Operations, and Procurement, to drive the growth and optimization of uninterrupted power supply (UPS) service offerings for the U.S. market. Must possess the ability to interpret customer requirements, match services to customer specifications/drawings, and ensure that the quote is technically compatible and competitive by communicating with the Field Operations team to determine/clarify project requirements. Understands, analyzes, documents, and communicates contractual, technical, and commercial terms and has a working understanding of bid strategies. This individual will present a quotation package with comments on exceptions and built-in value to customers to ensure quality output.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Review and analyze bid documents, drawings, and specifications.
  • Perform detailed electrical take-offs and prepare labor, material, and equipment cost estimates.
  • Solicit, evaluate, and negotiate vendor and subcontractor pricing.
  • Develop value engineering options and cost-saving alternatives.
  • Prepare and present professional bid proposals to management and clients.
  • Manage awarded projects from kickoff through closeout, including budgeting, scheduling, and cost tracking.
  • Collaborate with engineers, procurement, and field teams to ensure constructability and scope accuracy.
  • Track project budgets, process change orders, and support invoice approvals.
  • Maintain strong client relationships by proactively communicating and resolving issues.
  • Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA, and local codes on all projects.
  • Specific duties may vary or evolve over time based on business and client needs.

Core Experience

  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in electrical estimating, preferably within commercial, industrial, or infrastructure projects
  • Journeyman or Master Electrician license (state-dependent)
  • Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) is a plus
  • Proficiency with estimating tools such as EBM ( Electrical Bid Manager), Accubid, Trimble, ConEst, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, and Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong understanding of power distribution, lighting, fire alarm, and low-voltage systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and scopes of work.
  • Knowledgeable in all areas of electrical installation, including a working knowledge of contract documents, project estimates, construction, and maintenance specifications.
  • Excellent communication and networking skills. Analytic, accurate, and focused style of work. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (esp. Excel) is required.
  • A successful track record with demonstrated capability to lead and drive process improvements.
  • Proficiency in the English language, both written and verbal, is required.
  • Self-motivated person who can operate independently and can play well in a high-growth environment.
  • Customer Service experience and a previous customer-facing role are preferred.

  • Employment may require working on weekends and after hours.
  • Travel requirements depend on the company's travel support needs (possibly up to 15% travel if needed).

Base Pay Range$45—$60 USD
