We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer to join our team and lead initiatives that drive scalability, automation, and operational excellence in cloud-based environments. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in Kubernetes deployments, a strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines, and experience working with code to support modern development practices. This role requires both technical depth and the ability to collaborate across engineering and operations teams to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable solutions.

Due to client requirement, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance.

Rate: $60 - $70 / hr. w2

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, and manage Kubernetes clusters in public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Architect, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support continuous integration, testing, and deployment.
  • Collaborate with developers to optimize release processes, troubleshoot deployment issues, and improve software delivery.
  • Implement and manage infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
  • Oversee containerization practices (Docker, microservices) and ensure system scalability and resilience.
  • Develop monitoring, alerting, and observability solutions to maintain high system reliability.
  • Champion DevOps best practices, including automation, security, and performance optimization.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers when needed.

Experience Requirements:

  • Proven expertise in deploying and managing Kubernetes clusters in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD concepts, workflows, and tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, CircleCI, etc.).
  • Development experience — comfortable writing, reviewing, or troubleshooting code in any modern programming language (Python, Go, Java, C#, etc.).
  • Proficiency in containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Helm, etc.).
  • Solid understanding of Infrastructure as Code and configuration management.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with experience in debugging distributed systems.

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.

W2 employees of Eliassen Group who are regularly scheduled to work 30 or more hours per week are eligible for the following benefits: medical (choice of 3 plans), dental, vision, pre-tax accounts, other voluntary benefits including life and disability insurance, 401(k) with match, and sick time if required by law in the worked-in state/locality.
