We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead a large-scale school expansion project involving complex, multi-discipline construction. This is a high-visibility project with a tight schedule, strict safety requirements, and ongoing coordination within an active educational environment.
The successful candidate will manage the project from pre-construction through close-out and will have the opportunity to remain with the company upon completion, supporting additional commercial and institutional projects.
Project Scope Includes
- Structural steel construction
- Concrete foundations and superstructure
- Framing and envelope systems
- Electrical, plumbing, and mechanical coordination
- High-end interior finishes
- Flooring and roofing systems
- Site work and exterior improvements
- Work performed in an occupied school environment
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all phases of construction from planning through completion
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and phasing plans
- Coordinate subcontractors, consultants, and vendors across all trades
- Enforce site safety standards and compliance (OSHA and local regulations)
- Manage budgets, cost controls, change orders, and forecasting
- Oversee quality control and ensure adherence to drawings and specifications
- Conduct regular project meetings with owners, architects, and inspectors
- Maintain clear documentation, reporting, and communication
- Ensure minimal disruption to school operations throughout construction
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in commercial or institutional construction
- Proven experience managing complex, multi-trade projects
- Prior experience with schools, occupied facilities, or phased construction strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of steel, concrete, MEP, and finish coordination
- Ability to manage aggressive schedules without compromising safety or quality
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency with construction management software (Procore or similar preferred)
