A growing precision machining manufacturer in Lee's Summit is seeking a Manufacturing Project Coordinator to support CNC machining projects from quotation through delivery. This entry-level position offers hands-on training in project management, customer relations, and technical sales with a clear path to advancement into an Account Manager role with increased earning potential.

Key Responsibilities — Manufacturing Project Coordinator
- Coordinate CNC machining projects by working with engineering, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams to track scope, objectives, and timelines
- Support project scheduling, budgeting, and resource planning to ensure on-time and on-budget execution
- Assist with material sourcing and supplier quotation requests based on project specifications and cost targets
- Collaborate with shop leads and machinists to develop manufacturing plans aligned with engineering requirements
- Monitor project progress by maintaining communication between internal departments and external suppliers
- Provide regular customer updates and manage expectations throughout the project lifecycle
- Support the sales and quoting process with technical input and cost estimates
Qualifications — Manufacturing Project Coordinator
- 1-3 years of experience in manufacturing, CNC machining, or project coordination with strong technical aptitude
- Working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) or willingness to learn
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, CNC machining principles, and part manufacturability
- Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with customer-facing capability
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented with ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications — CNC Project Coordinator
- Experience with project scheduling tools or manufacturing software (ERP, MRP, CAD/CAM)
- Background in technical sales, customer service, or account coordination
- Associate degree or certification in manufacturing, engineering technology, or related field
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and engineering specifications
- Interest in developing client relationships and growing into a sales-oriented account management role
Physical Requirements — Manufacturing Project Coordinator
- Ability to sit for extended periods performing computer-based tasks with ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the facility as needed
- Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
- Manual dexterity for operating tools and inspection equipment
- Visual acuity to read blueprints, technical drawings, and inspect precision parts
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment with exposure to moderate noise, oils, and machining debris
- Must adhere to all safety protocols and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE)
