As we continue to grow, we are looking for a highly organized, detail-oriented, and efficient Litigation Legal Assistant to join our team.

Job Overview: As a Litigation Legal Assistant, you will play a crucial role in the early stages of our cases, supporting our mission to provide top-notch legal assistance. This position involves a wide range of administrative and case management tasks, including new case intake, drafting and sending correspondence, reviewing medical records, communicating with insurance adjusters, attorneys, clients, and medical providers, and maintaining comprehensive case files. The ideal candidate is a quick learner with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, capable of working independently while thriving in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage court filings.
  • Calendaring.
  • Drafting and preparing responses to written discovery.
  • Review and summarize medical records and other case documents.
  • Communicate effectively with insurance adjusters, attorneys, clients, and medical providers to gather and relay information.
  • Manage and organize case files in our paperless system, ensuring all documents are accurately filed and easily accessible.
  • Monitor case progress and deadlines, ensuring all necessary steps are taken in a timely manner.
  • Handle administrative tasks as needed, including scheduling and document management.

Qualifications:

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word and high proficiency in using computers; experience with Filevine is a plus.
  • Ability to take direction and work independently with minimal supervision.
  • A quick learner who can adapt to new tools and processes efficiently.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with all levels of staff, clients, and external contacts.
  • Prior legal assistant or paralegal experience required.
