Maintenance Supervisor
We are seeking an industrial Maintenance Supervisor to oversee maintenance operations within a manufacturing facility, balancing both office-based planning and hands-on technical work. This role ensures equipment reliability, safe work practices, and efficient execution of maintenance activities.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Team Leadership & Supervision
- Lead, coach, and schedule a team of maintenance technicians.
- Assign daily tasks and ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company standards.
Maintenance Planning & Execution
- Develop and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Coordinate routine inspections, repairs, and equipment servicing to minimize downtime.
Technical Oversight
- Provide technical guidance on mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and facility-related systems.
- Ensure all maintenance activities meet safety, regulatory, and quality requirements.
Budget & Resource Management
- Manage maintenance budgets and track expenditures.
- Ensure cost-effective use of labor, materials, and external contractors.
Inventory & Asset Management
- Maintain accurate inventory of tools, parts, and supplies.
- Ensure critical spare parts are available to support uninterrupted operations.
Troubleshooting & Problem Resolution
- Diagnose equipment failures and implement effective corrective actions.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs when needed.
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare and maintain records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and ongoing projects.
- Provide regular updates to leadership on maintenance status, issues, and improvement opportunities.
SKILLS & REQUIREMENTS:
Technical Expertise
- Strong knowledge of industrial maintenance practices, including mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical systems, plumbing, and basic carpentry.
- Familiarity with maintenance management software and electronic maintenance systems.
Leadership & Communication
- Proven ability to lead and motivate maintenance teams.
- Strong communication skills for collaborating with production, engineering, and external partners.
Organizational & Problem-Solving Skills
- Ability to plan, prioritize, and schedule work effectively.
- Skilled in identifying root causes and implementing practical, timely solutions.
Experience
- 3+ years of experience supervising maintenance teams in a manufacturing environment preferred.
- Experience operating heavy equipment is a plus.
- Experience using electronic maintenance or CMMS systems required.
Education
- Bachelors degree required (Engineering, Industrial Technology, or related field preferred).
