Job DescriptionLitigation Attorney
A highly regarded boutique law firm with a nationally recognized litigation practice is seeking a Litigation Attorney with at least three years of experience to join its team.
About the Practice
- The firm represents companies, owners, and individuals in complex commercial disputes across federal and state courts in Connecticut, New York, Delaware, and beyond.
- Matters often involve business combinations and breakups, post-M&A disputes (including fraud claims, earn-out disputes, and indemnification obligations), and representation of portfolio companies and executives.
- The litigation group also handles complex civil litigation and white collar matters, including investigations, enforcement actions, and defense of clients facing government scrutiny.
- Attorneys here combine the sophistication of a large-firm litigation practice with the efficiency and personalized service of a smaller, collegial environment.
- The team includes seasoned trial lawyers with backgrounds in leadership positions at the U.S. Attorney's Offices in Connecticut and the Southern District of New York, as well as the SEC's New York Regional Office.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years litigation experience in complex commercial, civil, or white collar matters.
- Admission to either the Connecticut or New York Bar (both are acceptable).
- Strong analytical, writing, and advocacy skills.
- Ability to manage cases independently while collaborating with a close-knit team.
Work Environment
- Hybrid schedule: Attorneys work two days in-office and three days remotely each week, balancing professional collaboration with flexibility.
- A culture committed to "doing it right"-delivering high-caliber legal work while fostering collegiality, professional ethics, and long-term client relationships.
- Opportunities to work directly with partners and clients, gaining hands-on experience in trials, hearings, appeals, arbitrations, and investigations.
Why This Role Stands Out
- Exposure to high-stakes litigation with private equity clients, executives, and companies navigating complex disputes.
- A chance to practice at the intersection of corporate law, civil litigation, and white collar defense, handling matters that shape business outcomes.
