POSITION SUMMARY:
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Under the direction of the Membership Director the Facility Building Coverage staff is to provide support and security throughout the facility.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for routinely scheduled walkthroughs of all facility areas to ensure members and staff are adhering to facility protocols and code of conduct.
- Report any physical facility issues to the manager on Duty, Facility Director, and Executive Director
- Managing all facets of Adult Basketball.
- Respond to any emergencies as needed.
- Ensure that the closing team and manager on Duty has safely cleared all areas and secured building at closing.
- Ensure that all closing staff exit facility together.
- Check and secure any outside facility doors.
- Working with Membership Team to ensure all COVID-19 protocols are followed as outlined in training and staying current on all updates.
- Demonstrates and model the YMCA’s four core values of Caring, Honestly, Respect, and Responsibility.
- Exhibits personal and professional behavior in a manner consistent with the best interest of the Association.
- Perform other job –related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Cooperates, and works effectively and congenially with all YMCA staff members, volunteers, and members of the Association.
- Follow employee and volunteer screening requirements and use screening instruments to screen for abuse risk. Provide employees and volunteers with on-going supervision and training related to abuse risk.
- Provide employees and volunteers with regular feedback regarding their boundaries with consumers and require them to adhere to policies and procedures related to abuse risk.
- Respond quickly to policy and procedure violations using the Y’s disciplinary procedures and respond seriously and confidentially to report suspicious and inappropriate behaviors and follow mandated reporting requirements.
- Communicates to all employees and volunteers the Y’s commitment to protect our members from abuse.
- Adhere to policies related to boundaries with members, volunteers, staff, and participants.
- Attend required Abuse Risk Management training and adhere to procedures related to managing high-risk activities and supervising members and participants.
- Report suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violations and follow mandated abuse reporting procedures.
- Ensure members, volunteers and vendors are properly signed in and signed out, ensure only authorized employees, members, volunteers, and vendors are allowed in the facility.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- 1–2 years of prior work experience in a customer-oriented environment.
- Excellent human relations and communication skills.
- Strong team-player abilities
- Able to work with no supervision.
- Works well with parents and children.
- Ability to work various hours including mornings, nights, and weekends.
- Must have a CPR/AED and First Aid Certification OR get certified within 90 days of employment.
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
This work requires the following physical activities: climbing, bending, stooping, kneeling, twisting, reaching, sitting, standing, walking, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, repetitive motions, talking, hearing, and visual acuity. The work is performed primarily indoors and may require occasional travel. He/she must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

WORK SCHEDULE:
- Sunday: 2:00 PM -6:30 PM
- Tuesday & Wednesday: 5:30 PM - 9:30 PM
HOURLY PAY RATE: Up to $20.00
