Nursing Home Administrator
Job Summary
Directs the overall operation of a long-term care facility, ensuring quality resident care, regulatory compliance and sound financial management. Leads department heads and staff and serves as the facility's primary representative. Works with residents, families, regulators and the community.
Education & Experience
• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business or a related field: Required
• Prior long-term care management experience: Required
Licenses & Certifications
• Nursing Home Administrator license in the state of practice: Required
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee daily operations, staffing and resident care services.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulations and survey readiness.
• Develop and manage the facility budget and financial performance.
• Lead, hire, train and evaluate department heads and staff.
• Address resident, family and staff concerns and promote resident rights.
• Maintain relationships with regulators, referral sources and the community.
