Job Title: Chief Systems Engineer (CSE) / Deputy CSE
Security Clearance: Active TS/SCI (SAP eligible required)
Position Summary
The Chief Systems Engineer (CSE) provides technical leadership and oversight for complex, high-value defense technology programs. This role supports classified Department of Defense (DoD) initiatives focused on Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) in contested environments, ensuring successful system design, integration, and lifecycle execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership for large-scale technology programs valued at $100M+
- Oversee system design, development, manufacturing, integration, and testing activities
- Lead engineering efforts supporting Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) capabilities in contested environments
- Support military operations through C5ISRT systems and capabilities
- Manage technical requirements, system assessments, and capability development for emerging technologies
- Execute programs in alignment with DoD 5000 acquisition lifecycle processes
- Apply Agile development methodologies to system engineering and program execution
- Establish and manage formal risk management processes for technology development programs
- Lead and coordinate efforts across classified programs at the SCI level or higher
Required Qualifications
Experience:
- 10+ years of experience as a Chief Systems Engineer (CSE) or Deputy CSE for major technology programs or portfolios valued at $100M or more
- 8+ years of leadership experience on classified programs at the SCI level or higher
- 8+ years of experience in military tactics and technical methods related to control and protection of Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) data in contested environments
- Experience supporting military operations through C5ISRT systems
- 5+ years of experience overseeing technical requirements and capability assessments for emerging technologies
- 5+ years of experience supporting DoD 5000 series acquisition lifecycle processes
- 5+ years of experience using Agile development methodologies
- 5+ years of experience establishing and managing formal risk management processes
Education:
- Masters degree from an accredited college or university in engineering, scientific, or technical discipline related to PNT and/or C5ISRT
Security Requirement:
- Active TS/SCI clearance with SAP eligibility
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior military or Department of Defense (DoD) experience
- 8+ years of experience with C5ISRT and C-C5ISRT systems, including integration and analysis of multi-source data and counter-system capabilities
