Job Title: Desktop Technician
Location: Vienna, VA and Winchester, VA
Type: Contract
Compensation: 25.00-27.00/hr
Contractor Work Model: Onsite
Hours: 40.0
Responsibilities
- Support campus workstation conversions and IT labor as Level 1 contractor with 1–5 years of experience
- Perform physical workstation setups/removals, cable management, staging, and basic asset handling on-site at Vienna and Winchester campuses
- Lift and move boxes of IT equipment and work on feet for extended periods
- Provide limited customer-facing support including laptop swaps and upgrades, demonstrating strong customer service skills
- Manage IT fundamentals such as Windows operating systems, peripherals, docks, monitors, and connectivity
- Follow documented processes for device imaging and securing wiped devices
- Track converted, staged, and returned equipment with strong organization and attention to detail
Requirements
- 0 years of minimum experience
- Ability to lift and move boxes of IT equipment
- Basic understanding of IT fundamentals (Windows, peripherals, docks, monitors, connectivity)
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent customer service skills for limited customer-facing tasks
- Ability to perform physical work and stand for extended periods
