About 3G Productions
Headquartered in Las Vegas, with full operations in Nashville, Los Angeles, and Atlanta, 3G Productions is one of the country's premier full-service live event production companies. From major touring productions and world-renowned festivals to high-stake corporate events, 3G specializes in providing best-in-class audio, lighting, video, and rigging equipment and services to bring breathtaking experiences to guests. Additionally, 3G's in-house design and integration team specializes in installing AVL equipment in arenas, theaters, and stadiums across the country.
Position Overview
3G Productions is seeking a highly experienced Senior Production Manager to serve as the primary day-to-day production resource within our project management department. This role functions as the internal air traffic control for incoming production opportunities — engaging early in the sales process, ensuring shows are quoted accurately, staffed appropriately, and handed off seamlessly to the assigned Project Manager for execution.
The Senior Production Manager will be a seasoned live event veteran with deep expertise across all production disciplines and event formats — from single-day corporate events to large-scale festivals and national touring productions. Reporting directly to the Director of Project Management, this role is a key collaborator in building the operational infrastructure of the department — working alongside the Director to develop SOPs, standardized templates, and the structural framework that will enable the entire PM team to perform on a unified front. This position carries no direct supervisory responsibility but serves as a key mentor, coach, and on-site resource for the broader PM team, and is positioned for growth into a department leadership role as the organization continues to scale. This position is based in Nashville (preferred) or can be remote/travel-based for the right candidate.
Within the first 60–90 days, the goals of this position are to develop a comprehensive understanding of 3G's active project portfolio and operational workflows, establish working relationships across Sales, Operations, and the PM team, and begin contributing to show assignments and pre-production processes with increasing ownership.
General Tasks / Duties
Below is a general list of the tasks and duties:
- Serve as the primary point of coordination between Sales and Production from the moment a show enters the pipeline
- Review incoming opportunities and collaborate with Sales to ensure accurate, realistic quoting — including proper gear specification and identification of sub-rental needs
- Evaluate show scope and complexity to assign the appropriate Project Manager for each production
- Monitor the overall health of the production calendar, proactively identifying conflicts, resource gaps, and scheduling risks
- Travel to show sites as needed to provide on-site oversight, coaching, and support to Project Managers in the field
- Serve as an escalation resource for PMs navigating complex technical or logistical challenges during production
- Participate in venue walkthroughs, technical scouts, and client presentations alongside Sales and PM teams
- Review and advise on Vectorworks and CAD drawings produced by the PM team, providing design feedback and ensuring accuracy prior to client presentation or show deployment
- Collaborate directly with the Director of Project Management to develop, refine, and implement SOPs, standardized templates, and operational frameworks that enable the PM team to execute on a unified and consistent front across all show types and markets
- Support warehouse pre-production operations and oversee show preparation and de-prep as needed
- Advise Director of Project Management and executive leadership on capital equipment, sub-rental trends, and operational improvements
- Utilize FLEX (Flex Rental Solutions) for equipment planning, inventory coordination, and show management
- Train and mentor Project Managers and engineers, reinforcing 3G's standards and production culture
- Perform additional duties as assigned
