As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Care Patrol in West Valley City, UT, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay Rate: $25.00 / Hour

Job Schedule:

DayTimeSun02:00 PM - 10:30 PM

How This Role Works:

Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build-up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week; always with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities:

Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter areas to help to identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
Monitor access points and help to control entry and exit activity in accordance with site policies, while supporting a professional and courteous environment.
Document incidents, observations, and/or daily activities in required reports, and report maintenance issues, hazards, and/or policy concerns to the appropriate site representative.

Minimum Requirements:

Possess at least 2 years of security-related experience.
Be willing to meet hospital vaccine requirements.
Be able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Be able to restrain individuals in a hospital environment.
Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
