Job Description
Dear Colleagues,
I seek an experienced paralegal for my solo employment/civil rights practice. The position involves trial preparation for a major federal employment discrimination case scheduled for trial in June 2026 in the Eastern District of New York, and some billing work tasks.
This is a part-time position (approximately 25 hours per week) with a hybrid remote/in-person arrangement, and the potential to increase to full-time as the trial approaches. Compensation is $35–$50 per hour, depending on experience, with the possibility of transitioning to a permanent role after trial.
I am looking for someone with strong organizational skills and litigation experience who is comfortable with federal court procedures, trial exhibit preparation, and document management. Experience with employment discrimination or civil rights cases is a plus, but not required.
Key details:
Position: Billing and Trial Support Paralegal
Hours: ~25 hours/week (flexible, hybrid)
Compensation: $35–$50/hour depending on experience
Start date: Immediately
Trial date: June 2026 (EDNY)
If you know of an experienced paralegal who might be interested, I would be very grateful if you could pass this along. Interested candidates should send a resume and brief cover letter to Laura@LDBarbLaw.com.
Thank you for any leads or referrals.
Best regards,
