We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Legal Assistant to support our attorneys and management team. This critical role involves client relationship management, legal administrative support, and case coordination within the area of Workers’ Compensation.
Position Summary:
The Senior Legal Assistant is responsible for overseeing a high-volume caseload while maintaining consistent, professional communication with clients and internal staff. The ideal candidate will have extensive legal office experience, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment while managing sensitive matters with empathy and professionalism. The ideal candidate is not only experienced but also open to learning and growing with the firm over the long term.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the primary liaison for assigned clients
- Manage case files and workflows to meet firm standards and deadlines
- Ensure accurate documentation and updates using the Filevine case management system
- Communicate case needs and updates with attorneys and staff
- Monitor case budgets and ensure cost control
- Uphold confidentiality and ethical standards in all interactions
- Maintain a professional presence representing the firm in all external communications
Qualifications:
- Experience as a Legal Assistant or in a comparable legal administrative or client-facing role preferred
- Experience managing and overseeing a caseload preferred
- Proficiency in legal operations and case management software
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Bilingual (English & Spanish)
- Must be open to learning new systems, adapting to changes, and growing professionally within the firm
Compensation & Benefits:
- Compensation: $60,000 Annual
- Medical, Dental & Life Insurance
- 401(k) Plan with 15% employer contributions to 401(k) plan per pay period after eligibility requirements are met (no employee deferral required).
- Paid Time Off (PTO) (6.2 hours accrued per pay period)
