Field Technician - RTMS Hardware Support
- Note: This role requires the use of your personal vehicle. You will receive weekly vehicle allowance of $200.00.
Position Overview
We are seeking experienced Field Technicians to provide on-site hardware support services for our Real-Time Management System (RTMS). The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a commitment to maintaining optimal system performance.
Schedule & Location
- Full-time position (40 hours per week)
- On-site at various garage locations
- 24-hour response time requirement for service calls
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform hardware removal and replacement services for on-vehicle RTMS equipment
- Conduct troubleshooting, testing, programming, and calibration of system components
- Maintain regular system maintenance intervals throughout the contract period
- Process and manage spare parts inventory, including RMA documentation
- Coordinate with repair facility for component repairs
- Analyze technical issues, implement solutions, and return vehicles to service
- Document all maintenance and repair activities
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with hardware troubleshooting and repair
- Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to obtain and maintain required site access credentials
- Physical ability to lift and carry equipment as needed
- Willingness to work flexible hours as required
Safety & Compliance Requirements
- Must maintain MTS/NCTD identification at all times while on-site
- Required to wear appropriate personal protection equipment (PPE)
- Must follow all safety protocols and guidelines
- Required to check in with Shop Supervisor and/or Dispatch
- Adherence to all site-specific safety and operational procedures
Tools & Equipment
- All necessary tools and equipment provided
- Company-issued communication devices (phone/email)
- Required to maintain and account for all issued equipment
Additional Requirements
- Must pass background check
- Drug screening required (including random testing)
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record (MVR check required)
- Ability to obtain and maintain necessary security clearances
The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical skills, professionalism, and a commitment to maintaining high-quality service standards while ensuring compliance with all safety protocols and procedures.
Work Schedule:
Sun-Thu 8pm-4:30am (Could be adjusted to 6pm-2:30am)
